Wet paint...

This morning as I dropped Dylan off at Aunt Leslie's he opened the door and said, "Ew...there's bird poop on the sidewalk!" Then with a big 'ole grin he said, "But don't worry, mom...It's not like wet paint...So I can step in it if I wanna and it won't ruin my shoes!"

Leakin'

So my sister, Leslie, took Dylan with her over to her in-laws' house today. Grandpa Saddler was putting an outdoor swimming pool together, sweating as the hot sun beat down on him. Dylan watched with clear intent and the utmost curiosity. Finally, Dylan asked, "Papa, how come you're leakin'?"

Are they pretty?

We scurried home tonight because some men from church were coming over. I told Dylan he could play outside till our visitors arrived. A little bit later Dylan said, "Mom, are they pretty?" I said, "Is who pretty?" "Those girls...the ones who are coming over to our house." Needless to say, Dyl was disappointed that no pretty girls were coming over to visit...

A little bit country...

Hey...they play football in the country! ...You'd almost think he was a Cowboys fan!
Every spring Grandpa has lots of babies around the farm...

Uncle Anthony is a REAL cowboy...He breaks wild horses and even puts shoes on them...
Dyl went up the mountain with Ryan on the 4-wheeler and picked some flowers for me for Mother's Day...
This cowboy stuff is a piece of cake!

...New addition...

Hi! Meet Gary...The newest member of our family. You may recognize him from the popular cartoon 'Spongebob Squarepants. Dylan named him after after Spongebob's pet snail.

...Best Buddies...

Gary was well taken care of...for 2 whole days. Dylan gave him a bath, fed him, and made sure he was as happy as a lark! They became best buddies...

Time to say goodbye...

...But for some reason Gary kept trying to escape, almost like he missed where he came from. Did he have a family? friends? We surely didn't know! Dyl set Gary out on the back porch to "get some fresh air"---Never to be seen again...But maybe he'll come back to visit!

Good morning!

I've been working at home for the last few months; today is my last day of relaxin', no-driving-in-traffic, quiet and cozy work! This is my view out my bedroom window as I wake up just in time to take a shower, get Dyl off for the day and make it back home to "work." Hopefully I'll be back home on a more permanent basis in a month or 2...Cross your fingers!
